I regularly get asked by my clients for skincare recommendations or what products I use on myself so I thought I’d share some from my daily routine. There are some amazing other brands and products that I’ve used, with similar functions and It’s important that I say that skin changes so much so it’s important to listen to your skin and react to what it’s asking for on a day to day and seasonal basis.
Oskia Renaissance Gel Cleanser.
I absolutely love how this gel cleanser melts into my skin and wipes away makeup. I don’t have an interest or the time to use separate cleansers and makeup removers and this one really does the job all in one! It leaves my skin feeling nourished and a little bit brighter and I’ve not found anything I like as much. It contains vitamins A, C & E, Omega 6, Starflower Oil, Pumpkin Enzymes, Chamomile & Rose.
Exfoliate and Tone
Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads.
Exfoliator and toner all in one and again, I love that they’re quick and easy to use! At the moment I’m using them in the morning making sure to follow with a moisturiser containing SPF as skin can be more sensitive afterwards.
The pads are soaked in Glycolic acid; an acid exfoliator which retextures and resurfaces the skin by removing dead skin cells without using a harsh scrub, and Hyaluronic acid which increases ability to absorb moisture.
Nip + Fab Post-Glycolic Fix Moisturiser with SPF30.
A lightweight, oil free moisturiser that hydrates the skin whilst helping to control any oil buildup during the day. The perfect moisturiser to calm and protect after using products containing glycolic acid. I don’t find it massively hydrating but great underneath makeup and I like it’s soothing ingredients.
Night Time Serum
Indeed Labs Hydraluron Serum; a deep hydration and moisture boosting facial serum.
Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body that is able to hold onto 1000 times its weight in water therefore providing the perfect base to your moisturiser. It doesn’t do much on its own but, the low molecular weight allows the serum to penetrate beneath the skins surface resulting in enhanced hydration when combined with a moisturiser. I apply this at night after cleansing as I don’t like the feel of it during the day beneath Makeup.
Night Time Retinol
Indeed Lab Retinol Reface; intensive wrinkle repair and skin resurfacer.
This is my first Retinol product I’ve used and after reading into it, decided it was a good place to start and shouldn’t cause any sensitivity unlike some other Retinol products.
A super concentrated moisturising cream, it contains three types of retinol that work to reduce the look of fine lines. Whilst I’m only after it to help keep those first fine lines at bay, (I also know that drinking more water and less coffee would also work wonders for my skin!) it also claims to enhance collagen production, reduces acne scars, improves skin tone and smooth and refine the skins surface. Retinol is one of the few ingredients proven to actually work towards anti-ageing so worth a bit of research to find which one is right for you.
Night Time Moisturiser
Indeed Labs 10balm sensitive skin soothing cream.
Despite the Retinol Reface having moisturising properties, I find I still need a bit more after application so once it’s had time to sink in I usually add a moisturiser on top.
The 10balm soothing cream is packed with a high concentration of 10 healing ingredients; Arnica, Honey Extract and Vitamin E bring comfort to sensitive and unsettled skin.
Indeed Labs Eysilix, multi-action eye treatment.
I’ve never found eye creams do much BUT I’m all for prevention being better than cure so I use this little gem by Indeed Labs. Formulated with essential peptides, it works quickly to reduce the appearance of puffiness, dark circles, fine lines and crow’s feet. Peptides are naturally found within the human body. Peptides have the ability to affect collagen production within the skin and may help stabilise and increase that production. Peptide eye creams typically include synthetic peptides that mimic their organic counterparts.
Oskia Restoration Oil.
This is my rather indulgent skin treat as it’s a little pricey but the bottle does last the best part of 6 months.
A beautiful blend of nutrients, oils and extracts to help restore, heal, hydrate and improve the skins elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines for a radiant complexion. I really can’t live without it and in the summer I mix this into my foundation to create more of a tinted moisturiser…it smells amazing!
Once a Week
REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask.
When my skin looks a bit “meh” I instantly reach for this face mask as it really makes an instant difference and gives my skin back a glow if it’s been looking a bit lack lustre.
This face mask is designed to help renew the complexion, reduce the appearance of fine lines and dramatically improve skin tone. A blend of four AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) including glycolic acid from pineapple, lactic acid from passion fruit, citric acid from lemon, and tartaric acid from grape exfoliate the skin without scrubbing. It lifts dead skin and resurfaces to dramatically improve skintone, texture, firmness, and radiance, while minimizing the appearance of pores and reducing sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and old acne scars. Love, love, love!
Hope you find this useful!
